Frequently Asked Questions

1) Can each player only use a stock option once or can it be reused once the double share has been paid for.

You can reuse the stock option as often as you want.

2) Is the free tile laying ability of the Mountain Railways an additional tile laying?

The owners of the private mountain companies just don't have to pay for laying a tile in their home hexes. But it is not an additional track laying, it is for the normal tile laying (and it has to be connected to the owning player's lines).

3) What happens to a share which was bought with stock option of a company that splits during an OR?

The share is flipped and becomes a 10% share. The owner does not get any money for it. He receives his stock option tokens for future reuse.

4) How does the game handle odd numbers?

It is always rounded to a player's advantage and to a company's or bank's disadvantage.

5) When is it allowed for a major company to lay a token on the hexes of St. Pölten and Steyr?

Add this to the rules (at 5.5): Station markers of Major Companies may be placed in the Sankt Pölten and Steyr hexes from Phase 6 onwards and only when the all the Major Local Railways have at least acted once, but not before then.

6) When is it allowed to sell the "half" share (the share I bought with the option)?

Not in the share dealing round you bought it, but in any following share dealing round at any time (and also at a "emergency funding'').
